…if you visit a foreign country, especially one that relies on tourism, don’t be tight with your money. You’re a guest, and that person in front of your has taken time away from their family to try and put food on the table; they aren’t looking for charity, they’re hardworking people trying to support their families, same as you are. My FAVOURITE part of the hotel? The monkeys! They have wild Capuchin in the trees by the beach!! They’re wild, so don’t feed them (I saw some children feeding them but this is never a good idea). I loved that they were trusting enough to be close to humans, but still kept their wild instincts and would scamper away or up a tree to put enough safe space between themselves and humans (I’m referring to the monkeys now, not the children).

Over the coarse of 30+ years of being in the travel business, I can tell you that I’ve visited some AMAZING places….places which literally take your breath away and every May, for the past four years, my thoughts are taken back to one of my all-time favorites….the Amalfi Coast, Italy.
